ENGINE COOLANT TEMPERATURE SENSOR CIRCUIT DIAGRAM
P0128 Code: Coolant Temperature Below Thermostat
Code P0128 stands for Engine Coolant Temperature Below Thermostat Regulating Temperature. The code is set when the engine control module (ECM) determines that coolant temperature is lower than desired or does not increase quickly enough. The engine must reach operating temperature promptly so that the vehicle can enter “closed-loop” mode.

Engine Coolant Temperature Sensor - A fundamental part of regulating air/fuel ratio, ignition timing, and EGR flow. A malfunctioning Mustang coolant temperature sensor can provide false information to your Mustang's computer that could cause anything from erratic idle to catastrophic engine failure on your Mustang Engine!
Engine Control Module and Sensor Locations - AxleAddict
The engine coolant temperature sensor simply tells the car's computer (ECM) the current temperature of the vehicle. When the temperature of the coolant reaches between 75 and 95 degrees (depending on the manufacturer specifications), the ECM instructs the radiator fan to turn on and start cooling down the liquid.

P0480 Cooling Fan Relay 1 Control Circuit
The PCM (powertrain control module) senses the increase in engine temperature through the CTS (coolant temperature sensor) located near the thermostat. When the temperature reaches about 223-degrees F (value depends on make/model/engine), the PCM will command the cooling fan relay to turn on the fan. It does so by supplying the ground to the relay.

DRAINING, FILLING AND BLEEDING THE ENGINE COOLING CIRCUIT Engine : 8HT Filling and bleeding the circuit Fit the filling cylinder [1], plug [3] and adaptor [2] assembly on the filling aperture. Slowly fill the cooling circuit [1] with coolant fluid, up to the "1 litre" mark, to pressurise the circuit. Remove the clip (2) from the tube.
Lambda sensor testing and troubleshooting | HELLA
The multimeter is connected parallel to the signal line (black cable, see circuit diagram) of the lambda sensor. The measuring range of the multimeter is set to 1 V or 2 V. After the engine is started, a value between 0.4 – 0.6 V appears on the display (reference voltage).
Porsche Boxster Coolant Replacement / Coolant Flush - 986
A properly maintained cooling system must have a few things in order: adequate supply of coolant, a radiator that acts as a heat exchanger with the outside air, a fan or air flow source, a water pump to keep the coolant circulating, and a thermostat to regulate the engine at its optimum operating temperature. The coolant must also have the
EGR Systems & Components - DieselNet: Engine & Emission
The practical low temperature limit to which an EGR cooler can cool the recirculated exhaust gas will be somewhat higher than the inlet temperature of the cooling medium. For an EGR cooler using only engine coolant as a cooling medium, this temperature will be limited by the engine coolant temperature—usually in the range of 70-90°C.
